Afghanistan: Major Taliban Attack Highlights Upsurge In Violence

More than 50 people have been killed in a major Taliban attack in a town in Afghanistan's southern Helmand Province. In a separate incident, a suicide bomber attacked a foreign convoy in the Western city of Herat, killing himself and one American. Meanwhile, on May 17, a female Canadian soldier was killed in fighting near Kandahar.
